Ms Gayathri Prasad (RN IN) and Ms Liz Davies (RN UK) are CISB’s School Nurses. They are employed to help students, parents and teachers. They are the first people you may wish to speak to for confidential advice and information about your health.
They have two main roles:
- to give confidential advice, care and treatment to students, parents or carers.
- to look after and protect your physical and emotional health, and to make sure other people know what you need to be healthy.
You can come and see your School Nurses for lots of different reasons. Some of these reasons might be:
- to receive information about a health issue.
- to de-stress and get emotional support, for example, if you have problems at home/hostel or with your friends etc.
- if you have long-term health problems.
- to refer you to somebody else who can help you, for example a medical practitioner, school counselor etc.
- to talk about your weight and healthy eating.
