Our Chairman

Ramani Sastri, the Chairman and Managing Director of Sterling Developers Pvt. Ltd., is the Promoter/Chairman of the Canadian International School, Bangalore. In Bangalore's real estate world, Sterling Developers hold a distinct reputation of quality not just in terms of the construction but also in understanding the budget and lifestyle needs of buyers and delivering them impeccably. The company has dotted the Bangalore map with landmark projects since 1983.

A management graduate, Mr. Sastri has over 30 years of experience in the field of construction. As the Past President of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) and the Karnataka Ownership Apartments Promoters Association (KOAPA), he is the torch bearer of the best practices and standards across the industry.

Mr. Sastri has been instrumental in the transformation of CISB into an academically rigorous, university preparatory school offering the best of independent international education. Mr. Sastri plans to expand the horizons of the Canadian International School by setting up similar schools in other cities in the near future.

 

Our Executive Director

Shweta Sastri is the Executive Director of Canadian International School, Bangalore. She has a Masters degree (MSc) in Management from the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE) with a focus on Organisations and Leadership. She also has an MSc in Investment Banking. Her prior work experience comprises IPO execution, private equity and corporate finance in companies like Morgan Stanley and Siemens AG.

Shweta has been with CIS since 2006 and is the Board representative available at the school on a daily basis. She is the official spokesperson of the Board of Directors. She has played a significant role in driving CIS' strategic plan to ensure accomplishment of vision 2012 in conjunction with the CIS community. This in turn guarantees that the educational programmes, the quality of learning and teaching, service provision and community involvement meet the needs and standards of the school's primary clients.

 

Our Director

Shankar Sastri is the Joint Managing Director of Sterling Developers Pvt. Ltd., a Real Estate Development Company on the Bengaluru landscape since 1983. Having built over 4 million sqft of Residential and Commercial space in Bengaluru, Sterling Developers expanded their operations to Pune, Maharashtra in 2006. Mr. Sastri is a Governing Body Member of Credai Karnataka and is actively involved in it's functioning. He is currently the Chairman of the Membership Committee and Co-Chairman of the Grievance Committee.

Mr. Sastri graduated from the Mumbai University, having studied at the prestigious R. A. Poddar College of Commerce and Economics. Born July 1959 in Mumbai, he moved residence to Bengaluru in 1982.

Mr. Pranaya M.S. Pradhan

Mr. Pradhan is a Technical Manager in the field of Polyurethanes. He started his career in Singapore in 1993 after receiving his degree in Chemistry from Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London. Pranaya is of Nepalese origin, married to Cher, who is a Singaporean of Indonesian decent. They have two children who are currently studying in CIS. Pranaya attended national school in Nepal, where selected boys from all parts of Nepal were educated in English up to the British GCE A level standard. Pranaya has fond memories of his school and gives it credit for enabling him to develop to his full potential. He is keen to share his learning and experience to support CIS in becoming a center of excellence. He has actively supported the previous school his children attended in Singapore in the capacity of vice chairman of the school's parent support group. His wife Cher is also an active member of CIS Community.

Mr. Sekhar Kondepudi

(CIS Parent) Sekhar leads Product Management for Cisco Smart+Connected Communities (S+CC) Platform & Solutions: Leading a team chartered to develop and market a Foundational Platform and a Suite of over 10 "Smart" Solutions including Energy, Building Systems, Green Solutions, Physical Safety & Healthcare.

PhD. in Mechanical Engineering with 20+ years of global and broad‐based experience including academia, applied research and strategic planning, product management, business development & strategic sales in cross‐discipline industry verticals including Energy, Buildings, Utilities, Networking, Voice, Semiconductors, Healthcare & Public Safety. Global Business Experience with Fortune 100 companies and Start‐Ups. Have done business across the globe ‐North America, Latin America, Western Europe, India, China, Japan, SE Asia and Africa.

Sekhar has excellent speaking and written communication skills with over 75 public presentations and 30 articles / papers. A true "global citizen", Sekhar was born in India, grew up in Australia as a small child, did High School in Singapore, undergraduate in India and then has lived in the United States, and now is back in India on assignment with Cisco Systems.
